To schedule or inquire about availability for a lesson with Bennett Farms, please call us at (818) 232-1072. Lessons cannot be scheduled through the online contact form.

To cancel or reschedule a lesson, please contact us directly at (818) 232-1072. Lessons cannot be canceled or rescheduled through the online contact form. Please note any lesson cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will still be charged.

Lessons are private (one student and one trainer), and are 30 minutes long. Horses are readied for the students ahead of time. It is recommended to arrive no later than 5 minutes before your lesson as lesson duration will not be extended to make up for lost time.
Lessons are taught either in the barn aisle or large outdoor ring, depending on conditions and student comfort. As lessons may be outdoors, please be prepared for sun exposure and warm or cool weather exposure. Students must wear long pants and boots or closed toed shoes (with minimal tread) for comfort and safety. Riding pants and boots preferable, recommendations are available on our What Do I Need? (https://www.jbennettfarms.com/what-to-get)page. Equestrian specific helmets are recommended, Bennett Farms can provide upon request if you do not have your own.
For first time lessons, all clients or client guardians must fill out the Bennett Farms safety release form (available at https://www.jbennettfarms.com/waiver.)(https://www.jbennettfarms.com/waiver)
Accepted forms of payment: cash, personal check, and credit card (Master Card, Visa, Discover, American Express.)
Lessons cancelled within the 24-hour window before the scheduled lesson time will be charged the full amount. No-Shows will be charged the full amount. Bennett Farms does not assume canceled lessons for inclement weather (such as rain or wind) and the cancellation policy remains in effect.

All lessons are private, meaning one rider and one instructor. Bennett Farms does not offer group lesson options at this time.
Bennett Farms does not offer jumping, dressage, barrel racing, or reining lessons.
For safety reasons, younger clients are accepted on a case-by-case basis once a Bennett Farms instructor has assessed the child's abilities. Our primary concern is our clients' and horses' safety, so we may be unable to accommodate some new students if they are unable to meet our safety requirements. For more information, please call our office line to ask an instructor about lessons for a young child.
No, if you are not a horse owner Bennett Farms has lesson horses available that can be used for your lesson. If you do have your own horse boarding at the Equestrian Center, our trainers will be happy to instruct you on your own horse.
Bennett Farms is located within the beautiful Los Angeles Equestrian Center, and all boarding fees are regulated by the LAEC. No, Bennett Farms does not offer horse rentals for either trail riding or personal photography/filmography inquiries. For professional photography/filmography inquiry, please see our related FAQ answer.
Bennett Farms is a part of the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. Any professional filming or photography on the Los Angeles Equestrian Center grounds must be cleared with the LAEC Front Office. More information is available at http://thelaec.com/location-shoots. We would love to work with you on your professional projects in conjunction with LAEC's approval.
If Bennett Farms is hiring, we will include an announcement on our Home page and on our social media.
Bennett Farms is located within a greater equestrian facility, so the grounds are managed by the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. Please contact the LAEC Main Office for any job inquiries if there are no Bennett Farms hiring announcements posted.
For safety and liability reasons, and to ensure consistent oversight of our horses, we are not accepting volunteer work at this time.
