Jim Bennett, Owner, Trainer, Riding Instructor

Jim reaches out to an special friend, "I Am A Commotion", aka "Frosty"

Jim Bennett was born and raised near Shelbyville, Kentucky. His family was involved with horses and Jim showed horses from an early age. Jim brings a unique combination of academic training and work experience in human behavior modification, psychology and sociology together with a life time of horsemanship. His goal was to create a supportive environment for his clients to improve on their riding and driving skills, while improving their relationship with their horse(s). A place where people who share a love of horses can get away from the stress of their daily lives to relax, enjoy riding and spending some time. Click here to view Jim's resume.

Nancy Goebel, Riding Instructor
Nancy with white riding lesson pony, "Ayden". A life-long horse lover, Nancy began riding seriously in 1998 when she and her daughter started taking lessons from Jim Bennett.  She now coordinates the lesson program at Bennett Farms, gives riding lessons, and has a special interest in teaching the very young as well as those who, like herself, came later in life to the sport.

When not at the barn, Nancy can be found hard at work at her orthodontic practice where she helps both children and adults find the smiles they've always wanted through either traditional orthodontics or the new Invisalign technique.

Nancy's orthodontic office is located at 3932 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 300, Los Angeles, CA. 90010.  Phone: (213) 386-7846

Nicole Gatz, Riding Instructor
Nicole riding Snuffy

Nicole has been riding and showing horses for 16 years. Saddle Seat has always been her passion because "it's fun, flashy and exciting".

Nicole has several degrees including Animal Science and Animal Behavior with a specialty in exotic animal training and management. Nicole loves to watch her beginner and intermediate riders excel both in lessons and in the show ring.

When not at the barn you will find her just a mile a mile away at the Los Angeles Zoo where she is an animal keeper, caring for African Hoof stock (ie, giraffes, zebras, anything with hooves). It is the career of a lifetime. Not many people get to have a job they love. Nicole feels that she is blessed with two.
